Wear Equal is a women-led social enterprise offering underwear and essentials made by and for women. Made using upcycled organic cotton, the textile waste generated from their manufacturing processes is used to make ancillary products like scrunchies and handmade cotton paper.
Born out of a need to provide access to safe and sustainable sanitary wear for women in remote parts of the country, the brand allocates part of the profits to provide low-cost underwear to rural women and girls. Wear Equal supports the ideals of intersectional feminism and believe that a basic need like underwear must be accessible to women from different walks of life and/or with different conditions. Their strong stance on diversity, inclusivity and body positivity is evident through all their social media campaigns.
